Long periods of cultural drive have highlighted a progression of traditional Indonesian arts and crafts workshops in different areas in Doha in September as a feature of denoting the profound Qatar-Indonesia cultural ties in partnership with M7 and Liwan Design Studios and Labs.
The studios have been planned continuously by the Culture group in a joint effort with the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Exploration of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian craftsmen and specialists in pottery, manikin making, dance, and batik production.
Director of Cultural Diplomacy at Qatar Museums, Aisha Ghanem Al Attiya, said, “We at the Long Periods of Culture drive genuinely must make unmistakable associations between the way of life we commend every year and the people of Qatar.
“These workshops act as a bridge, bringing people together through shared creativity, promoting understanding between cultures, and preserving Indonesia’s rich heritage.
“We trust that active, open commitment permits members to acquire a significant appreciation for the worth of custom, imaginativeness, and craftsmanship, supporting the bonds that join Qatar and Indonesia in a festival of our flourishing imaginative ventures.” The studios are open to members of all expertise levels. Spaces are restricted and should be reserved ahead of time through the Qatar Creates website.
