Qatari and world Olympic champion Mutaz Essa Barshim won first place in the high jump competition in the Zurich round of the IAAF Diamond League today, Thursday
Barshim prevailed with regards to recording a level of 2.35 meters, the best level in the opposition for the round, passing on runner-up to New Zealander Hamish Kerr, who recorded 2.33 meters, and Korean Woo Sang-hook came in third spot, recording 2.31 meters.
Barshim’s victory in the Diamond League comes following winning the bronze medal in the high jump competition at the World Championships in Budapest a couple of days prior, adding another accomplishment to his illustrious career
