About 3,300 smart vehicle parking sensors have been installed in areas like West Bay, Corniche, and Central Doha as part of the public parking management project in Qatar. The project, under the Smart Qatar Program (TASMU), aims to streamline parking reservations, fee collection, violation monitoring, and penalties. It also seeks to reduce traffic congestion, encourage public transportation, and improve road and land resource utilization. The project is aligned with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and its transport and parking regulations. A media campaign is being conducted to raise public awareness of the system and its associated rules and penalties.
