Max Verstappen secured his third consecutive Formula One world championship after his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, crashed out of the Qatar Grand Prix sprint. Perez needed a top-three finish to keep the title race alive, but he started eighth and ended up in 11th place before colliding with Esteban Ocon. Verstappen, who was running in third then, clinched the championship regardless of his finish position. He will begin the main race from pole position, aiming for his 14th win in 17 races.(tnk.net)
